What the first beta covers

The first paid beta centres on the OP-1 Tape Editor and Memos. The Multisample Editor and Drum Tool sit alongside them and stay free in the desktop app.

• Tape Editor

  Work with OP-1 and OP-1 Field tape on the desktop: browse takes, edit them, and write them back. TP-7 recordings are handled too.

• Memos

  Read, organise and export the memos off an OP-1 or OP-1 Field without going through the device screen.

• Multisample Editor

  The multisample tool from the web app, rebuilt natively. Free in the desktop app.

• Drum Tool

  Build OP-XY drum kits with per-slot settings and waveform trimming. Also free in the desktop app.

On the roadmap

• Auto-Sampler

  Sample a hardware or software instrument across the keyboard and turn the result into a multisample preset.

• File Manager for OP-XY

  Browse and reorganise what is on the OP-XY from the desktop, rather than through the device.

OP-PatchStudio is an unofficial tool. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Teenage Engineering.

Platforms

macOS and Windows come first. Linux follows once those two are settled, and iOS and Android come after that.

The web app at op-patch.studio

The browser version got OP-PatchStudio started, and it still does what it always did: build OP-XY drum kits and multisamples in a browser and export a patch you can drop onto the device. It stays free and online for now.

It is now legacy and unsupported, though. Everything new goes into the desktop app, so the web app will not gain features and I can't promise fixes for it.
